Wealdway40 walks The Wealdway is a long-distance path running for 82 miles north-south across Kent and Sussex from Gravesend to Eastbourne. It crosses not just the fine scenery of the High and Low Wealds but also the North Downs, the South Downs and the Greensand Ridge. Importantly for us, the Wealdway passes through the heart of Tonbridge and Malling and many of our regular Ramblers walks include sections of this path.

Full details of how to join one of the Wealdway40 walks can be found at: www.kentramblers.org.uk/wealdway40 .

Most walks are circular, but some are linear, so please check the details online and contact the leader to clarify if necessary.
Walks are open to non-members but booking may be required – see website
Walks are subject to updates – see

Looking after our footpaths

We try to ensure that public footpaths within Tonbridge & Malling are readily accessible to all walkers. We have footpath observers in each parish who report issues such as broken stiles and gates; broken or missing footpath signs; fallen trees and other obstructions. If you are out walking and encounter a problem, please do raise an alert. You can do this by logging the fault on the Kent Country Council website (search for ‘KCC public rights of way’) or by emailing details (with photo and path number/location) to info@tonbridgeandmallingramblers.org.uk.

Medway Valley Countryside Partnership is delivering a series of free guided walks and events over the next year, designed for people over 55 or with a long-term health condition. Gentle, nature focussed walks will take place each week in a variety of beautiful countryside locations in the Maidstone and Tonbridge and Malling areas. Walks will last for 1-2 hours, with rest breaks, led by experienced leaders at a pace to suit the group.

Come and join us to enjoy the ever-changing mosaic of the Kentish countryside. See, hear, and feel the changing seasons as we explore some of the hidden gems of Kent, right on your doorstep. Reap the benefits for your mind and body as we take gentle walks through landscapes rich in history, all while spotting wildlife under the guidance of a local expert.
